Overview

With over 50 years of brake technology and friction development experience, FDP is recognized as an industry innovator and a leading supplier-partner, serving both the OEM and aftermarket segments. As a full line supplier of both disc pads and brake shoes, FDP clients include OE manufacturers, retailers, program groups, warehouse distributors, exporters, and other brake manufacturers. FDP is headquartered in Tappahannock, Virginia, with manufacturing and R&D facilities located throughout the world.

A History of Innovation

FDP was the OEM manufacturer of the D1 in 1970. The D1 is the first disc brake pad ever listed in the FMSI catalog. Nearly 40 years later, FDP maintains a full R&D laboratory located in Morrisville, Pennsylvania, where new products are developed and tested in the lab and on the road. We are constantly fine-tuning, tweaking, and improving our friction compounds to meet the continually higher braking expectations of our customers.
